This is to notify to all the members that Annual General Elections to the Executive Committee and Office Bearers of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association will be held under rules as per schedule attached.

1. Elections would be held for the seats of 12 members of Executive Committee retiring on 30-Sep-2010
2. Only such Companies/Firms/Proprietary concerns who have been enrolled as valid Members of the Association and have completed 2 years of valid membership as on or  before 12-Jul-2010 shall be entitled to cast vote or stand for election or nominate a candidate for elections and have paid their current subscriptions/renewal fee and other dues and have furnished proof of filing of a return of income tax or statement u/s 115(4) under Income Tax Ordinance 2001 or Assessment Order for preceding assessment year in the name of Firm/Proprietary concern/company and have deposited their Identity Cards or have notified any change of representative by 15.Jul.2010 . Only one person who is Director/Partner or Proprietor of a Firm/Company which is valid member of the Association shall be eligible to contest from his Firm.
3. ONLY Proprietor, Partner of a Firm or Director of the Company concerned or GM (in case of multi-national Company) shall be entitled to cast his vote at the time of Annual Elections if his name has already been nominated for voting and registered as such with the Secretary General and his name appears on the final list of voters, will be eligible to cast a vote. In case any person is Director or Proprietor/Partner of more than one Firms/Companies, he shall be entitled to cast only ONE vote and not of other sister concerns.
4. All members should ensure that their Identity Cards complete in all respects are available in the office of the Association. Those members who have not yet submitted Identity Cards may do so by 15.Jul.2010 . Identity Card Forms can be obtained from the PTEA Office on any working day. Identity Card Form is also enclosed with Election Program.
5. No Vote by proxy will be cast during the Annual Elections 2010-2011.
6. Polling will be held in the office of the Association located at 30/7 Civil Lines behind State Bank, Faisalabad from 10 A.M., to 3 P.M.
   • For Executive Committee on   20.Sep.2010
   • For Office Bearers on 25.Sep.2009.
7. Election of Office Bearers will be held amongst the Executive Members (12 continuing and 12 newly elected members).
8. Tenure of Office Bearers for 2010-11 will be from 1 st October, 2010 to 30 th September, 2011.
9. Any candidate or his agent wishing to be present at the time of scrutiny of nomination papers will be free to do so after prior notice in writing to the Secretary General a day earlier.
10. The candidates can appoint one Polling Agent each and will inform the Returning Officer in writing on their letter head accordingly.
11. Each candidate will provide one copy of his National Identity Card and 5xpassport size photographs at the time of filing of nomination papers in PTEA Office on 23.Aug.2010.
12. For all election purposes Office Hours will be from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
